The Guided Workflow

Upcoming changes

4min

The following interactions and features are being tested with our test group (Stellar) and aim to be released to all projects requiring the Guided Workflow for stationary objects.

We have observed that many users annotate stationary objects using the Guided Workflow, only to revisit and edit them later outside the workflow (in the main view). We want to help you understand that this additional work is often unnecessary, as completing an object in the Guided Workflow is typically sufficient for quality purposes.

To streamline this process, we have decided to lock all stationary objects in tasks where this is required. While this may seem a bit strict, the intention is to help you focus on the task without worrying about what has already been completed.

New interactions/ behaviors

  1. Once you exit the Guided Workflow, you cannot edit the stationary objects in the main view.
    1. If you wish to change an object's properties or shape, right-click on it and select β€œEdit in Guided Workflow.”
  2. In the main view, you will also no longer be able to create a stationary object directly. If you attempt to create an object and select "Yes" for the "is stationary" property, you will be automatically redirected to the Guided Workflow.
  3. If you change an existing object from dynamic to stationary, we will delete all but one frame where the object has been edited, and then redirect you to step two of the Guided Workflow to edit the most suitable frame.
    1. A dialogue will appear to confirm the user wants to switch from dynamic to stationary since this action cannot be undone.

    3. You can still expand these objects to view their properties and connections/links, but editing will be blocked.
  2. Main view
