Inviting users

As a user administrator you have the ability to invite users from your organization to the Kognic platform. You can select one or multiple roles that the invited users will have in the Kognic platform. The invitations are sent to the provided email addresses. To fully activate the account the users then have to, via an invitation link provided in the invitation email, finish the creation of their account.

User roles

Roles unlock features of the Kognic platform. Different roles unlock different set of features. A user in the Kognic platform can be assigned one or multiple roles. If a user is assigned multiple roles the user will unlock all features that each individual role has unlocked.

The roles are specific to the user's organisation. If you want to know what features that are available within a specific role - talk to your contact at Kognic.

Users with pending invitations

Users who have not yet created their account are available in the "Users with pending invitations"-table. The table shows when an invitation link was sent and if the link is still active.

If you want to send a new invitation link to a user you can do that by clicking the three dots next to a user's row. You can only send a new invitation link if the previous link is older than 24 hours.

Deleting invitations

You can delete an invitation via the menu next to the specific invite's row in the "Users with pending invitations"-table. After deleting the invitation the previously sent invitation link can no longer be used to register on the platform.

FAQ

The user you invited can't find their invitation link

If a user can't find their invitatioin link in their inbox it's recommended that they check their spam folder. If the invite is not located in their spam folder it's recommended to send a new invitation. A user administrator in your organisation or someone from Kognic can create a new activation link in the Users pending activation table.

A users invitation link is no longer active

All invitation links have an expiration date. A user administrator in the user's organisation or someone from Kognic can send a new invitation link, from thein the "Users with pending invitations"-table, if this has happened.

Im getting a domain warning when adding users

This is because you are trying to add email adresses that is not using the main domain of your organisation. So if your working for Example Inc. and your main is example.com and you trying to add [email protected] you will be warned about this. This is just a warning to make sure you really want to add this user or may have mispelled the email adress. You can ignore the warning this and use this email adresses if you want to.
