Intensity mode settings
You can change the brightness, contrast, Gamma, and range of how the intensity is displayed. These settings may require adjustments to be able to see areas of high intensity in different types of environments, such as rainy scenes.
Changing the values will adjust how bright or dark the overall point cloud is.
This will adjust the brightest and darkest points ratio in the point cloud. Adjusting the contrast increases or decreases the distinction between the bright and dark areas of the point cloud.
Gamma correction is a commonly used setting in editing programs. In the annotation view, it behaves similarly to adjusting the gamma levels in regular image processing. This will adjust the apparent luminance of the point cloud. The lower values make the overall point cloud brighter, and higher values make it darker.
In our annotation view, the intensity of each point ranges from 0-65000 (up-scaled from 0-255). When you adjust the Range values, you will restrict the intensity between 0 and the set slider value. It creates a lower resolution of the point cloud intensity.
