Projections

A projection is a shape created in one source and visualized in another, most often in 3D and projected into 2D. The shapes that can be projected from 3D are 3D boxesο»Ώ, 3D laneο»Ώ, 3D linesο»Ώ, 3D pointο»Ώ.

Projections in the 2D view

You can choose if you want to show the projection of the currently selected object. As well as if you want to show the projection of all objects when no object is selected. Selecting an object will hide the projections of all other objects.

If the scene has the available data, you can also select if you want to project the trajectory of 3D boxes into the 2D image.

Projections in the 3D view

If you have an object in 2D that you want to draw in 3D you can:

  1. Mark a 2D object in the objects list or the 2D view
  2. Go to the 3D view
  3. Follow the purple-colored projection to find the 3D points belonging to the object

If you don't have a 2D box or quickly want to create projections onto the 3D point cloud:

  1. Go to the miniature 2D image in the 3D view
  2. Press shift and drag the cursor over the area in the 2D image you're interested in
  3. Follow the purple-colored projection to find the area of interest.
