DATA ORCHESTRATION
Adding data to the Kognic Platform
3min
there are currently four ways of getting data into the kognic platform upload via api upload via ui import from your cloud using a data integration index from your cloud using a data integration, and import it on demand via the ui upload via api you can upload data using our api read more about how to upload data this way in the api guide upload via ui this is supported for uploading scene data (specifically the scene types cameras and cameras sequence ) and is done via the scenes tab in data orchestration read more about how to upload scenes via ui here import from cloud this option is suitable if your data is stored in a a kognic supported format on a bucket you can set up a data integration with that bucket and import your data directly from there, without having to first download it locally start by creating a data integration with your cloud bucket this is done via the integrations tab in data ochestration after that, you can use the api to import data from your bucket read more on how to do that here index data from cloud, import on demand via ui similarly to the option above, this option allow users to set up an integration with their cloud bucket the difference here being that data is merely indexed and listed in the kognic platform, without the actual resources being imported importing the actual resources is done from the data orchestration view in the ui this option is suitable if your data is stored in a a kognic supported format on a bucket if you are dealing with large data quantities, and if your data needs to be quickly available for usage inside the kognic platform, this option is the best for you just like the option abouve you need to create a data integration with your cloud bucket and then do use the api to index your data (read more here ), making sure that postpone external resource import is set to true
