This geometry shape is drawn using the 3D brush tool. 
Drawing process
Select a class,
The cursor should take the shape of an ellipse.
Press and drag the cursor across the points and areas you want to classify as the chosen class.

The circle of the brush takes the color of the class. The brush size can be increased or decreased by holding down shift while using the scroll wheel.
