3D lines
This geometry shape is drawn using the 3D line tool. It is mainly used for outlining areas.
- Select a class,
- Move along the line or edge and place points where you want to have control points.
- The points will be placed at the lowest point in the point cloud at that location.
- Continue placing points until you feel done with the object.
Use the 3D Transformation controlsο»Ώ to adjust the placement of the line point. To change the entire line, press shift before moving the controls. See Node and shape editο»Ώ and Multiple nodes editο»Ώ for more information.
You can extend a line from the start or end with keyboard shortcuts. Press 0 to extend the line from the end or shift+0 to extend the line from the beginning. Read more about an alternative way to extend the line here.
Zoom to selected to quickly review the points along a line by pressing k.
Step between points using alt+nand alt+p.
You can reverse the line direction by clicking on the 3D lane with the right mouse button and selecting "Reverse direction." See Direction indicatorο»Ώ for how to view lane direction indicators.
3D Lines can be configured to automatically be closed. This way the last node will always connect to the first and is visualized while drawing.
