### Link objects from quick-properties

2026-09-15

Object links can now be set from [Quick-properties](docId\:jRG96ECGJB68hRhKC7k_Y) menu. Pick the **Linked object **chip - the menu closes, the cursor turns into the connection cursor, and the next object you click is linked. With multi-selection, one-click links that link to every selected object in a single undoable action, skipping any that are already linked or at their maximum number of links. Press `Esc` to cancel.

### Object and pin feedback in 3D semantic segmentation

2026-09-15

Feedback in 3D semantic segmentation can now point at a class, not just a place. Clicking in the point cloud selects the class you clicked and drops a pin at that point, both in the Add feedback form and in quick feedback. The Object section is no longer disabled in these tasks.

### Scene event markers on the video bar

2026-09-15

A scene property value can now mark a single frame as an event, like a calibration error. Setting it applies only to that frame, which gets a red marker above the video bar. Hover to see the value, click to jump. On a flagged frame, the value appears as a red chip at the top. Markers show in both video bar modes and in tasks with an event property.

### Distance to ego vehicle in the 2D Grid view

2026-09-15

Images in [The 2D Grid view](docId\:IswiUyx3PTR7aDSL0MpAu) now display how far objects are from the ego vehicle next to size labels, for objects with a 3D cuboid. If a camera's region of interest is set, the distance turns yellow when beyond the range, helping you see if the object is in view. The label is on by default and can be disabled in grid settings.

::Image[]{src="https://api.archbee.com/api/optimize/wLEz_RbWP6nIMpY-prjlm/UDhRS_9s5b6xqk-7S6W-2_distance-outside-roi.png" size="50" isUploading="false" position="center" caption="The cuboid is outside of the cameras region of interest" width="591" height="241" darkWidth="591" darkHeight="241" showCaption="true"}

### Collections in the property overlay

2026-09-15

The [Property overlay](docId\:nHzgrCSfQJGCxO2BPhp7V) now shows an object’s geometry collection above the shape name. A new Show collection members toggle highlights related shapes and connects collection members with dashed lines in 2D and 3D views.

### Orthographic 3D camera projection

2026-09-15

You are now able to change between perspective and a orthographic projection for the main 3D camera. In the top menu you find it under View -> 3D camera projection

### Updates to 3D mouse navigation

2026-09-02

We have made updates to the 3D mouse navigation behavior. The setting that enabled you to drag the 3D scene is now removed - it is now always enabled. You can simply click and drag yourself around in 3D. We have also updated the panning behavior it is now "screen-space" panning which means the view moves directly parallel to the computer screen rather than along the ground plane.

***

### Follow the ego vehicle in aggregated scenes

2026-09-02

Aggregated scenes now have a **Follow ego vehicle** option in the 3D camera mode menu. Turn it on to keep the camera at the same offset to the ego vehicle as you step between frames, so the ego stays in view when you jump to a frame from a scene property. It is off by default, so the camera stays still until you enable it.

### Automatic location pin for 3D line and lane feedback

2026-09-02

Feedback on a 3D line or lane in lidar now places a pin at the point you clicked or at the node you selected when you opened the Add feedback form. **Go to pin** on the feedback card takes the annotator straight to that spot. The pin follows a single object and is removed if you select a second one.

### Show the area between linked lines and lanes

2026-09-02

Turn on View > Show object link area to shade the area between two linked 3D lines or lanes in lidar, so you see which stretch each link covers instead of only the arrow between them. A shape with several links gets one color per area.

### Show node indices on 3D lines and lanes

2026-09-02

Turn on **View** > **Show node indices** to number the nodes of 3D lines and lanes, starting at 1, so you can refer to a node by its number in review feedback. The numbering follows your 3D node mode setting, and the selected line's nodes are numbered in the picture-in-picture projection as well.

### Scene properties in the video bar

2026-09-02

Scene properties now show up in the video bar's Property values mode. Select Scene properties in the object list to see every value and every change across the sequence, instead of stepping through frame by frame.

### Region of Interest range filter for 2D projections

2026-08-17

In projects where each camera has its own region of interest range, 3D objects farther away than that range are no longer projected into that camera's image, and Create connected 2D box no longer creates a box in frames where the object is out of range. This keeps the camera views clear of objects the camera cannot usefully see. You can switch the filtering off with the new RoI range filter checkbox in Window > Projection settings.

### Choose which mouse button orbits and which pans

2026-08-17

The 3D camera's mouse buttons can now be swapped. Go to **Edit** → **Camera orbit / pan mapping** and pick **Left-click to orbit, right-click to pan **if you would rather orbit with the left mouse button, or keep the default **Right-click to orbit, left-click to pan**. The mapping applies to both Fly control and Orbit control and is remembered between tasks.

### Hide objects by property value

2026-08-17

The property overlay now allows hiding objects, not just isolating. Hover a property value, click the hide icon, and objects with that value disappear from the scene while other classes stay visible — even objects with no value set. You can hide multiple values at once and save them in a favorite filter.

### Cuboid dimensions in the object cameras

2026-08-17

### Reset a task from the Edit menu

2026-08-04

The **Reset** button is gone from the bottom of the right-side menu. Resetting now lives in the top menu bar under **Edit** → **Reset my changes**, so the right-side menu keeps a single **Submit** action and a reset is harder to trigger by mistake. The confirmation dialog is also clearer about what you lose: the shapes you added and the property values you changed are permanently deleted, and it cannot be undone.

### Camera drawer: Expanded view

2026-08-04

The camera drawer now includes an **Expand the camera drawer** button that expands it into a grid of all your camera sources at once, filling the working area so you see the whole rig at a glance. On tasks with calibration and 5+ cameras, **Auto placement **arranges cameras by their real-world directions and **Flip rear cameras** mirrors away-facing ones like a rearview mirror; smaller rigs, or when **Auto placement** is disabled, get a grid that keeps each image as large as possible.

### 2D grid view iterations

2026-08-04

To enable quicker reviewing and interacting with properties in the 2D grid view, we've updated the overall experience:

- There's **a new toolbar** available at the top of the page. Here you can navigate to the 3D view and switch between views. You'll also find other task-related tools or information.
- We added a new **hide/show option for the property value**. Use when you want to hide the value in all thumbnails.
- You are now able to **edit property values directly via the thumbnail**. If a property can be changed in 2D, a dropdown will be available instead of a read-only label.
- We have added a button to the batch action bar that allows you to change the property value. This is useful when you want to **multi-edit properties**. Previously, we only had a shortcut available `ctrl+q`, but with the button, we hope for better exposure.

### Live validation/ checkers

2026-08-04

We currently have a feature in **beta** testing that applies the validation continuously on every change rather than when the "Validate" button is clicked. We'll refer to this feature as *live validation*.

- If live validation **is not active**, the validation button is at the bottom right of the task view. Press it to validate the task.
- If live validation **is available**, the task will be continuously evaluated, and no button will be shown.

### Combined pin + object feedback

2026-06-09

A feedback entry can now carry both a pin and an object id, so you can anchor an issue to a specific object and a spot in the scene without pasting the id into a comment. Two new error types — "Missing shape" and "Indicate incorrect dimension of object" — are designed for this combined mode and require both anchors.
