## Object direction

You can tell the objects direction in three ways:

1. Unselected objects have a direction arrow
2. Selected objects have a filled side indicating the direction,
3. Selected objects have a transformation control that is pink and this face the object's direction as well.

You can change the object's direction by clicking the button in the left side menu, or by using the assigned shortcut (default `,`).

## Snapping

If you don't want to drag or use shortcuts to edit a cuboid side, we offer an alternative way. The active transformation mode will determine the behavior.

1. Activated the translate or scale mode,
2. **Snap one side:** Hold `alt` and click on the blue, pink OR orange control.
 - The corresponding cuboid side will snap to the nearest point.
3. **Snap all sides:** Hold `alt` and click on the diamond located in the center of the cuboid. This is only possible in scale mode.
 - All cuboid sides will snap to the nearest points.

## Grid view

### Shortcuts

When grid view is active, `w`, `a`, `s`, `d` are repurposed from navigation keys to editing keyboard shortcuts. The camera view which your mouse cursor is in will be active, indicated by the green highlight border. Using these keys you will edit the object with the active transformation mode. You can use `q` and `e` to rotate the object in any transformation mode.

In **rotation mode** only `a` and `d` will rotate the object in the active view.

In **scale mode** you will adjust one side at a time. pressing `capslock` will change the side you are editing with shortcuts.

### Two point tool

While adjusting an object in grid view or in the side cameras (3D camera sources), this tool is available to you.

It is activated by holding `shift+t` (default keybinding, see Keybindings window for the actual binding), then simply click and drag to align the objects rotation and position with the line formed.

In the back and right view the objects is placed ontop of the line in adition to the rotation aligning, in the top view the objects rotation is only updated.
