The **Task** menu is about the task itself rather than the annotations in it. Use it to look up task and scene information, copy links and IDs, export the annotation, and take a break, pause the task or leave it.

Depending on the task and your assigned role, this menu will vary in items.

## Task info

### Task information

View the project title, request title and batch titel in this window.

### Scene information

Some tasks include metadata about the scene, such as recording location, weather conditions, or other contextual details. You can view this information in the **Scene information** window.

The **Scene information** option only appears in the menu when scene metadata is available for the current task. If you don't see it, the task has no scene metadata attached.

### Review summary

Opens the **Review summary** window, giving you an overview of the sampled-object review for the task. This option only appears in correction tasks that use sampled-object review.

### Task history

Opens the **Task history** window, which shows the chain of tasks that led to the one you are working on. This option only appears when the task is part of a task chain (more than one linked task) and you are reviewing it.

## Settings

### Task settings...

Opens the **Task settings** dialog, where the current settings can be saved as defaults for everyone on the project. This option is only available to Kognic users and won't appear for most annotators.

## Links

### Copy filtered view link

When you create a filtered view link you get a link to the most recent version of the assignment that includes:

- **Source:** The source you have selected when creating the link.
 - If you are in the 2D view and have multiple cameras, the selected 2D camera is set as the source.
 - If you are in the 3D view the 3D view is set as the source. This means that the selected 2D cameras will *not* be specified in the link.
- **Frame: **The sequence frame you are in when creating the link.
- **Object: **The object you have selected when creating the link. If you haven’t selected an object when creating/copying the link no object will be linked.

### Copy unfiltered view link

The unfiltered view link is a link to the most recent version of the assignment without any specification of an object, frame or source.

### Open in Next environment

Reopens the current task in the Next environment, at the same address you are on now. This option is hidden when you are already on Next.

### Request details

This menu item will lead to the dashboard, more specifically the R*equest details* page, where you will be able to monitor and manage the main part of your or Kognic's annotation production.

## Clipboard

### Copy assignment id

Copies the assignment id to your pasteboard. The assignment id is an internal reference to a specific task.

### Copy external ID

Copies the external id to your clipboard.

### Copy scene UUID

Copies the scene UUID to your clipboard. The UUID is a unique internal reference to the scene you are working on.

## Export

### Download OpenLABEL JSON

Download a file containing the OpenLABEL represention of the annotation you are currently viewing.

### Download OpenLABEL JSON - Default Cartesian

A second download option next to **Download OpenLABEL JSON**. It exports the same OpenLABEL representation but with boxes in default Cartesian coordinates. Both options only appear if you are allowed to download OpenLABEL for the task.

## Session

### Take a break

Stop your work manually by clicking on this option. A pop-up dialogue will appear to confirm that the active working time has been paused. *This option is **not** available in viewlinks. *

### Pause task

Pausing a task lets you start a new task without submitting your current work. This is helpful if you're waiting for someone's help and can't move forward otherwise.

:::hint{type="warning"}
You can only have three tasks paused at a time. If you have paused three tasks the "Pause task"-button will be disabled.
:::

**Making sure you recognize the task you paused**

When pausing the task you are required to write a note. Use this opporunity to write something that makes it easier for you to recognize the task when you want to resume it.

**Resuming the paused task**

When you have achived the help you needed and are ready to resume the paused task, you can find it paused task on the page "My tasks". You can read more about how to resume the paused task via [🙋🏼‍♀️ Guide: Pausing tasks](docId:9YWwhEurxWn0RCLcpe2TH).

## Exit

### Go back to dashboards

This menu item will lead you to the dashboard, more specifically the *My task* page, which is your main entry point to annotate, correct, and review tasks in the Kognic platform.
