Depending on the task, the right-side menu has one or two tabs: [Create tab](docId\:i0ZNcPAdQC20kUIw8ZXZp) and [Edit tab](docId\:zicM7AvHQ1eaF_HKrqLFp). You can toggle between the two tabs by using the shortcut`,`

The Create tab includes all **classes** available in the task.

## Class color

Class colors are helpful to identify the class when navigating in the image or point cloud. 

Kognic specifies the class colors and can't be edited in the app. 

### 3D semantic segmentation

By looking at the dot next to the class name, you can tell if a class has been drawn in a 3D semantic segmentation task. 

When a class has been used, the dot next to the class name shows the class color. If a class has not been used, it will be greyed out.

When you hover a class that has been drawn, the icons for lock, hide and delete will be shown, read more under [Class functionalities](docId:2VqeFV0FP7NrZGu71yWhO).

## Shortcut number

The assigned shortcut key is the number to the right of the class name. If there are two numbers, you must press the keys simultaneously.

## Geometry shape

The icons to the right of the shortcut key indicate what kind of geometry shape the class will create.

The following are *not available in all tasks*, but common for 2D polygons, instances or 3D boxes, lanes, lines, and point classification.

## Lock/unlock class

- **Lock:** Use to avoid edits to existing objects or classifications (classified points).
- **Unlock: **Use when you want to draw freely in the task. 

You can lock/ unlock individual objects and classes or all simultaneously.

- **Show:** Use when you want to see the object or classification. 
- **Hide**: Use when you want to hide the object or classification (classified points).

If a class is deleted, all points or shapes classified as that class will be *unclassified*.
