Miniature image in detail

The 3D view will also include a 2D image in the top right corner. You can expand it by clicking on the expand-icon or the assigned shortcut. The image settings window can be opened by clicking the settings button found in the top right corner. You are able to click on objects in the miniature image to select them.

Quick projection

The quick projection feature allows you to create a temporary box to give you a highlight in the point cloud from the region in the 2D image.

  1. Go to the miniature 2D image in the 3D view
  2. Press shift and drag the cursor over the area in the 2D image you're interested in
  3. Follow the purple-colored projection to find the area of interest.

Search light

In the top menu you will find a setting under view -> Projections -> Search Light which enables the search light. Simply by mousing over the miniature image it will give you a highlight in the point cloud at the current cursor position in the image.

When you have search light turned on you are not able to select objects in the miniature image.
