Camera modes

With the assistive camera modes, you decide how the main camera will behave.

Bird's eye mode

This mode lets you view the point cloud from straight above. You can activate the mode from the left toolbar or by using the default shortcut b

  • If you use the shortcut to activate it, the camera will be centered above your cursor.
  • If you activate it from the left menu, the camera will keep its current position but switch to a top view of the point cloud.

Driver's view mode

This mode will allow you to view an object from the ego vehicle's driver seat. You can activate the mode from the left toolbar or by using the default shortcut ctrl d

When you deselect an object or deactivate this mode, you will be placed in the view you were before activating it.Β 

Auto-zoom mode

When activated, the camera will automatically zoom in on your selected objects. This mode is highly recommended when working with sequence tasks, as it helps you keep your object of interest in focus.

Additional camera modes

Zoom to selected object

This is a quick way to view the selected object without manually navigating. Use shortcut k to zoom in/ out from objects.

In 2D/3D fusions tasks zoom to the selected object also works if the object is visible in the other view. If the object is visible in 3D but not in 2D, you will be zoomed to the projections location. If the object is visible in 2D but not in 3D, you will be zoomed to the closest point in the point cloud that falls into the bounding box of the 2D object.

Use this camera mode to review the points along a line quickly. Use shortcut k to zoom in/ out from points.
