Use this tool to split a 3D line or lane into two separate objects.

  1. Activate the tool by clicking on the button in the left toolbar or by pressing the shortcut (the default shortcut is shift+s).
  2. Objects that cannot be edited with this tool will be muted.
  3. Mouse over a part of a 3D line or lane you want to cut into two and confirm the cut by clicking anywhere on the line or on a node.
  4. At the cut, an attached node will be created. To detach the node to move it independetly, see 3D detach nodesο»Ώ.
  5. You can continue to cut objects until you deactivate the tool.
  6. Deactivate the tool by clicking on the button in the toolbar, pressing the shortcut, or pressing the Escape key.
